As I came to college I noticed that I hade missed a few things that were very important being a college student. Late nights with my roommates up and ways I thought of to make college a little easier for me and for you.
1. Headphones
The computers at the school don't have speakers, so if you need to listen to music while you do homework, your going to need to take headphones. If I was you I would keep one in your backpack and one in your apartment! (Headphones, Walmart $10.00)
2. Earplugs
Sooo... Confession. I am not a partier. When my roommates bring friends and guys over when its almost midnight, It's hard to try to get some sleep when your the first room in the apartment and class at 7:00. When hearing full on conversations, Earplugs may just safe your life, unless your the person bringing friends over. (Earplugs, Family Dollar, $1.00)
3. Clipboard
I knew I needed this when I was trying to write in my notebook and look at the screen at the same time. A clipboard makes it easy to have a flat surface you can write on it in the direction you need to be facing. I also think its nice to hold papers together while you write. (Clipboard, Target, $4.00)
4. Computer
Every college student needs one. Unless you want to walk back and forth to the library or center where the computers are, I suggest you get one. This also makes it nice, because you can work from home in your bedroom or on the table. If you want an outdoor feeling you can take your laptop outside or around campus! (Laptop, Best Buy, Lenovo-$230.00)
5. CD's
You may or may not think this is important depending on whether music is an necessary item for you. Here is St. George, the radio stations are awful, besides one station which is campus run. So when I need to jam out in my car, I can't. I took some CD's with me just for the fun of it to listen on the way there(Having no stations out of nowhere) and I am very glad I did. Plus, who doesn't love a good Disney music mix? (Homemade or buy at Best Buy/Walmart)
6. AUX Cord
This is also not a necessary item, but very fun to have in your car. You get to listen to your own music in the car, and also listen to videos, if needing to get a video done for school. (AUX Cord, Walmart, $6.00)
7. Water Bottle
In St. George it is HOT! This is a must when you're out and about. It is also good, because you are drinking water throughout the day. STAY HEALTHY! (Water Bottle, Walmart $3.00)
8. Broom
Let me tell you, living with 5 other girls means a lot of hair. It sticks to the walls and to the ground. I am constantly sweeping the hard work tile. I would also suggest a Swifter mop! You will see why, once you buy it! (Broom, Dollar Tree $1 & Swifter, Target, $10.00)
9. Amazon Student Prime
The best decision I made was to get amazon student prime! As long as you have a .edu account it will work! And yes, IT'S FREE!!! You can get 2-day free shipping, watch free movies and get credit for items when not needing it rushed! Plus you get free $5 credit once you sign up! Here is the link: http://a.co/a4NbJEI
10. Dry Erase Board & Planner
I try to be an organized person, so a dry erase board calendar and a planner help me stay on task of what it do that day and what classes I have. My monthly calendar is great to know what it coming up and when I'll be coming home.
If you have suggestions on what you want me to write next week, please leave comments down below! Thank you.
